Damascus Knife Pakkawood, 17.5 cm, Santoku Knife with Fine & Extra Fine Whetstone Set
The Damascus Knife Pakkawood is a top-class Santoku knife that delights both the kitchen professional and the hobby chef. With a blade length of 17.5 cm, it is a versatile all-purpose knife and thanks to the fine and extra fine whetstone, it is always sharp and ready for use.
Unique Hammered Embossing
The Santoku knife features a unique hammered embossing. This not only gives the knife a distinctive look, but also has a practical function: small air chambers are created between the cutting material and the blade, which produces a natural non-stick effect and makes the cut material easier to remove from the blade surface.
High-quality Core and Side Damascus Steel Layers
The core of the kitchen knife is made of high-quality GG 10 steel - DIN X100Cr15MoV, which is characterized by its extreme hardness (approx. 58-62 HRC). On the sides, 33 layers of the softer Damascus steel were processed, making the Damascus knife both robust and flexible.
Multi-layer Hardwood Handle and Whetstones
The handle of the cutting knife is made of multi-layer Pakkawood, reminiscent of fine tropical woods. Its ergonomic shape allows for comfortable and safe handling of the knife. In addition to the Japanese Santoku knife, two whetstones are included. With the grains 400/1000 and 1000/3000, they enable a repair, fine and polishing grind of the knife to always ensure optimal sharpness.
